Union Masters receive commendation from the Kukkiwon

The Union is proud to announce that a recent special seminar held in Auckland by the World Taekwondo Headquarters - Kukkiwon, three Union Masters

were recognised for their contribution to the development of Taekwondo. Masters Greg O'Brien, Ken Glassenbury and Vijay Chhika each received official

'Letters of Commendation' from the Kukkiwon and were presented these by the Grandmasters in attendance which included World Poomsae Champion,

Grandmaster Ik-Pil Kang, 8th Dan.

Both Greg O'Brien and Vijay Chhika ran the TNZ Referee Certification Seminars last year and are both active WTF International Referees. Ken Glassenbury

has served the Union as it's Treasurer and is also still very actively involved in the Union providing on-going management and support at a senior level.

The Union congratulates Masters Greg O'Brien, Ken Glassenbury and Vijay Chhika on their Commendations. It's great to see hard-working and actively

involved Kiwi Masters being recognised internationally for their ongoing contribution to Taekwondo and at the highest of levels here in New Zealand.
